Jun 11, 2024 The CHAIn consortium has met in the University of Alicante for a Study Visit for IRO Staff Level. The event will take place from 11th until the 14th of June. The host has organised an agenda which combines presentations, roundtables and lectures from International Relations experts, with more participative activities for the CHAIn partners visiting the University of Alicante such as workshops and a World Café. On the first day of the event, has taken place the welcoming session led by the director of Institutional Relations and Projects and principal researcher of the UA in the CHAIn project, Juan Llopis who expressed his excitement on the project and brought up the benefits of internationalisation for the HEIs, and the director of the Institutional Project Management Service, Carolina Madeleine, who introduced the agenda of the event. This was followed by presentations focused on the promotion of international relations in the university context, in which different experts from the UA participated, such as the director of the Mobility Secretariat, José Luís Oliver and the deputy director of Mobility Projects, Elena Agulló Sánchez, who talked about the different projects carried out in the University of Alicante and introduced projects relevant for the CHAIn partners such as KA171, which brings opportunities of mobility agreements with non-EU partners such as Cambodia. Then, the academic secretary of EIDUA, Carmen Pire exposed the strategy on internationalisation for researchers, that follows a different strategy that the one followed for the rest of students. These sessions were very valuable for the partners because the speakers did not only share their expertise in a more-theoretical manner, but they also made sure that they answered to all the practical doubts and questions of the attendees.
