Jun 13, 2024 The third day of the event, the 13th of June, the focus has switched a bit into the participants and in the project’s actions to be carried out. First, the Director of CSI, Covadonga Ordóñez, presented some tools to the participants for developing an strategy to attract foreign students, which included a series of actions to be conducted and different marketing tools to be implemented. The attendees use the occasion to pose their doubts about how to carry out this kind of actions and balancing different opposing interest and the speaker made sure she answered to all their questions. Then, an overview of the Need Analysis survey was presented by the Senior Project Manager, Mario Guillo and the Junior Project Manager, Elena Olmos. This survey served to have a general overview of the state of internationalisation in Cambodia Higher Education Institutions since it has collected the responses of more than 28 HEIs from the country, both public and private. This overview was followed by a World Café in which all the attendees participated switching between 4 tables of discussion focusing in different topics connected to internationalisation in Higher Education Institutions: 1) Internal barriers to internationalisation, 2) external obstacles to internationalisation, 3) students’ mobility, 4) academic and staff mobility. The aim of this World Café was to cover some of the contradictions and problematics that had arose during the Need Analysis and bring some clarifications. The conclusions of this activity are of a great value for the consortium and the elaboration of the Need Analysis Report.
