Between the 7th and the 11th of October two simultaneous staff training week took place in the Europa-Institut at Saarland University. These weeks focused on the Erasmus + Key Actions 1, 2 and 3, and intended to provide an overview of the different opportunities connected to these actions as well as an overview of the rationale behind them. People from more than ten nations, from Eastern Europe all the way until Northern and Western Africa, assisted and participated in this programme which included different lectures and workshops.

In this context, the CHAIn’s project was disseminated as an example of KA2. It was exposed how this project was born to respond to some of the challenges and gaps faced in Cambodia. It was particularly highlighted that this project contributes to advancing internationalisation with an approach that relays on the constant cooperation and collaboration between different institutions and the Ministry. Some of the activities and good practices carried out in the project were presented what led to some valuable discussions about the importance of internationalisation for enhancing higher education institutions.

In overall, this session served to promote the CHAIn’s project but also to encourage discussions on the value of internationalisation to improve and benefit the stakeholders’ learning experiences, including students, teachers, staff, researchers and the beneficiaries of higher education research, this is, society in general.
